"I was born in Rome, Italy and raised in Melbourne, Australia by professional artists which led me down the path of a creative career. I fell in love with photography when I was about 9 yrs old. At the time, my father was publishing fashion magazines and I would spend my school holidays watching the photographer's assistant processing and printing in the dark room.
I began my professional career about ten years ago and at that stage I wanted to be a commercial advertising photographer where I focused primarily on still-life studio work. This is where I developed a passion for light, which slowly became my concern no matter what I was shooting.
Eventually I became tired of photographing only inanimate objects and began to realise that I had a love for working with people, so I shifted my focus to fashion, beauty and portraiture where I have since shot for many of Australia's leading brands and advertising agencies and somehow managed to maintain a dedicated part of my time to developing my personal artwork.
I have been and am still influenced greatly by many different artists and photographers, from the great masters of the Renaissance to the legends of photography during the 20th century such as Paolo Roversi, David Bailey, Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton and Ansell Adams. My work is also heavily influenced by emotion and life’s experiences."
